The Coble Family Moves across town The Coble Family has finally moved.
We are still in Cleburne -- the Lord wouldn't let us leave -- and enjoying new comforts, new neighbors, and the quiet evenings of country-sounds while still living in town. It takes us longer to get places and Lucy continues to get lost everytime she leaves the house. I found a new route to church and the normal shopping areas (including Wal-mart & Kroger). However, the joys of God's blessings outweigh any negative that may come up.
My baby sister is just around the corner so who knows, we might see each other more.
We have a place to practice that doesn't take up our livingroom and dining room.
God knows us, He knows our wants and our needs. When I walked into this house to look at it, I was mesmerized by the layout and how well it fit our needs and added a little to our wants. I couldn't even look for imperfections or damage because it just felt like this was the one. Even our backyard, the little doggies just love it and the little doggie door.
We feel God gave us this house: He was just waiting for the lady to make up her mind to put it on the market. God is so good.
Well, that's our news for now. Thanks for reading.. We'll see you soon,
Rhonda Coble

| The Coble Happenings - Tuesday, May 15, 2007 I was answering an email earlier about what's been going on with The Coble Family and realized I could put this in our News Section. It has been a very long time since I typed anything up. I'll try to keep it short as possible.
The first week of this month we drove out to Monroe, North Carolina to record our vocals for the new project. We are very excited about it.
Lucy has had her driver's license now since last November and ChristA will get her driving permit sometime next week. She's waiting on her dad to finish teaching her the 6 hours of classroom time so she can get behind the wheel.
Lucy got a job at the local Braums. For those who do not know what a Braums is, it's a fast food restaurant chain in Texas and Oklahoma. After eight weeks in the workforce, Lucy found out the store manager felt the store was more important than a singing engagement. Needless to say, Lucy is now jobless. But she is a happy jobless kid (except for the lack of funds for her savings account she set up).
I had surgery back in January. We were off the road for six-weeks. You would have thought we were at a standstill for over a year. Everyone was going crazy with being home. I'm so glad to know that the girls love being on the road as much as we do. The doctor released me February 8 and we had our first singing date February 10. All has gone very well ever since.
--- More Later ---

| Hello Again,
Wow! How time flies. This summer has gone by so fast that the girls have grown like little weeds. Lucy may catch back up to ChristA soon, her growth spurt this time tried to make up for lost time. I'm trying to convince her that being petite will pay-off in the long run.
Travelling to different areas out of state and within Texas has just been great. The following is an update from those concert dates.
August 15, we had the opportunity to be in Alvarado, Texas at the Alvarado Reunion. This was the 2nd Annual Gospel Sing Night which was held on Thursday. We had the express opportunity to sing on stage with the Legendary Group: Kings River (sorry about the jokes Jon), Brenda North, The Mears Family, and Shepherds Vessels. Then to the ROC on the 17th. Now that was a time. After carrying our equipment up two flights of fire escape stairs into the building, Paul was wiped-out. We had a good time of ministry that night though. As always, we enjoyed our Sunday services with the Buckingham's out of Weatherford, Texas. They are a great bunch of people and have become great friends to us. Thanks ya'll for always having an open door for us. The next week proved very busy. From Shawnee, Oklahoma to Lawton, Oklahoma on Sunday. Then Practice on Tuesday and the concert on Thursday with the Gospel Jubilee Choir in Dallas at Hillcrest Baptist - What an awesome time we had that night. Then on to the first 5th Saturday night singing at the First Baptist Church in Rosser, Texas.
September was to be just as busy with NQC and all, but some churches cancelled on us at the last minute causing us to revamp our schedule. Friday, September 6 we had a wonderful time in concert with Rosie O'Toole at Marvin Stewart, Jr's debut singing which occurs every 1st and 3rd Friday night. Then Saturday the 14th we travelled to Coble, Tennesse for the Coble Homecoming. Everywhere we looked something said Coble. From Coble Realators to Coble Drive; and then of course, The Coble Country Store. It really made us feel at home. They asked us last year to come and be apart of their Homecoming. What a privelege. For a town of 52, over 300 people gathered around while we ministered in song. The Church of Christ Choir and The Coble's were the only Gospel group there that night. We pray that someone might come to know the Lord by something we said or sang. We met several Coble's there, and one family drove in from Indiana. We had a real neat time. The next week included practice and concert for KSKY's 61st Anniversary Celebration at Travis Avenue Baptist Church. Then on to Abilene at Ft. Phantom Baptist Church - they are really growing; And the Ranger Church of God in Ranger, Texas.
SGMA of Texas Convention We just enjoyed a wonderful time of fellowship amongst everyone, we also met some new groups/soloist. It's great to see how the SGMA continues to grow with new and maturing talent. Congratulations to all the nominee's and winners of the awards during Saturday's Banquet. ChristA says she's still happy in getting youth musician this year and Paul says thanks for those who nominated, "Standing on the Mountain" as song of the year and voting for it. We were blessed with the presence of our dear friends, David, Tammy and Steven for coming to the convention with us. They said it was very enjoyable and will come again next year.
Then the last service of the month was Sunday morning in Belton, Texas. I didn't realize it was their 5th Sunday singing, they had food and all sorts of things going on that day. We had a blast....(And Tammy, well, next time steer clear of the trailer ramp).
And one last thing. I was contacted the other day by a DJ out of Nashville, Tennessee. He was given one of our new CD's awhile back and said that he has a lot of calls coming in to hear the songs on it. We were just thrilled that we had nothing to do with him getting it and he is playing it. Thanks Bobby Lynn, we sure appreciate it.
Most of all, we thank our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ for allowing us into so many different venue's to minister, whether we are the only Gospel singers there or amongst many...we still want the word to go out that Jesus is the only way and only true Peace and Joy can come from Him.
Until Next time......keep shining the light for Jesus

| For all those who listened Saturday, Aug. 10 to KSKY 660 AM radio - Thanks for your kind comments and for tuning in to hear some of the greatest Southern Gospel Artists in our local area with Lon Sosh. We had the pleasure of being with Billy Grable, Ray Wadsworth for the first hour and then the Gospel Messengers from the Austin area the second hour. What a great time of fellowship.
We just arrived home from our Louisiana/Georgia/S.Caroline trip. This was our first time for to be in GA and SC. Everything was really neat. We hope to have some pictures available online in the near future. Here's a quick run down of our little adventure out of the area.
We left Friday morning for Ferriday, Louisiana to hear Ronnie Hinson in Concert. Talk about an awesome ministry. We thoroughly enjoyed his ministry in song, but was extremely blessed by how he brought the Word alive for everyone there. Later, after helping him load up, he invited us out to Shoney's for a late night supper. What a great evening. Then.....we headed on to Georgia, stopping off in Jackson, Mississippi for about 4 hours of sleep.
Our next stop: Evangel Temple PCG Church in Morrow, GA. We met Rev. Richter who has a great preachers website: www.preacherspage.com. We also met a young singing duet whose dad also runs a radio station. One of the girls is a DJ and she said they are a charting station and wanted to put "A Little Bit Closer" out for others in the area to hear. They are not live on the internet right now, but have a website: www.wssa1560.com.
Then to Anderson, SC. WOW! Talk about a beautiful place. The drive out there and back was just awesome. We were at Word of Truth A/G for the morning service and met several people from Texas. They had a lot of visitors that came out to hear us. Some said they came out because they were from Texas and just wanted to meet us.
Sunday Night, we were at First Assembly of God in Anderson, SC. We met an awesome Praise/Worship Team. The pastor, Rev. Phil Sears gave new meaning to hyper-activity - Mark Lowery, look out. We will be going back Oct. 2003 for the morning part of their Homecoming services.
We are home now and re-cooping. Though we enjoyed our visit to other states, it is good to be home. We look forward to seeing you soon at a nearby concert or convention, etc...
God Bless

| Hello Everyone The Lord truly has blessed The Coble! Not only did we get 70% of equipment back (including the trailer) but enough funds have come in to help purchase new equipment and others have given us some of their's. Then the insurance company (who said we were not covered), sent us a check which finished off the amount of funds we need. Praise the Lord. He is so Good!
Also more good news. We have also purchased our first bus. We are very excited about it and have used it for the past two weeks. I will have more information on our official website very soon.
Please continue to remember us in your prayers. We are so greatful for all those who prayed for us and helped us in our time of need. It sure helped build our faith.
Keep that light a'shinin' for Jesus....

| Sorry for not bringing an update for quite sometime now. We have been very busy on the road. In fact, we are gone from home most of the time, Praise the Lord. We have seen several souls come to the Lord and many rededicate their lives.
I just want to say a big thanks to everyone who has been praying for us. I was just notified that a dear sister in the Lord, in Arkansas went to be with Jesus this past Friday morning. It was mentioned to me that she had a prayerlist of those she prayed for continually. Our name was on that list. It sure gives a humble feeling when such reports come our way. We are so blessed to have family, friends and soon to become friends praying for us. It really brings encouragement our way.
A quick update on all the happenings lately.
We went to Kentucky for the National Quartet Convention and had a great time. From Tuesday afternoon's Radio Interview on 770 am to Wednesday morning's, "HeavenSound Showcase". Though during the whole setting everyone had on their mind the tragedy that had struck our nation. The evening concerts were outstanding......
Then to Abilene, Texas for the SGMA of Texas' Convention. Lucy brought home the award for Youth Musician of the Year while ChristA came home with Youth Female Vocalist of the year. Humbly, the Coble Family received the Natalie Dawn Award presented by the Tom Ellis Family.
We now have a new mailinglist setup for daily receipt of the Thought for the Day, Devotionals, Discussions, etc... come by our official website and check it out.
God Bless You and Thank you for coming by and checking out what is going on with the Coble Family.
Keep shining your light for Jesus!!!!

| We got an unexpected call Friday night from the pastor at First Assembly of God in Alvarado, Texas who was feeling under the weather and asked us to come minister for Sunday's services. It was very unusual for us to have that Sunday morning open. ONLY GOD KNOWS!! We have placed this ministry into the hands of God. Our prayer is for Him to place us where we need to be at the right time and at the right place. God knows who's going to show up to church and when!!! Again, Everything is in God's hands. We had very good morning which Paul had the opportunity to bring the message. He spoke on compassion. One of the examples he used was helping someone who had a flat on the side of the road; your going to miss the buffet for lunch if you don't hurry; SOoooo, you're torn between helping the one stranded and eating. What are you going to do?
You'll never guess what happened to us. After Sunday morning services, we had to leave immediately for Paris, Texas for the evening service at Pathway Church of God. We decided it would be best to wait until we reached Greenville, Texas before we ate lunch. This way the Sunday rush would have died down. We ate at "Ryan's Restaurant" (we ate to much as usual). As we were walking out of Ryan's we noticed this lady who had left several minutes before us walking back to the restaurant. As we looked over to our truck, there was an elderly gentleman lifting the trunk lid to his car and pulling out a spare tire. YOU GOT IT! The girls and I got into the truck where it was cool and Paul went over and helped the man change his tire.
Do you know we still made it to the church right on time. In fact, we waited a few minutes before the Pastor and his wife arrived. You know it's God that is putting you to the test when you can still arrive on time and then turn right around and have an awesome concert & then an awesome alter services.
It's great to be a christian.......If your not and would like to talk with us, call us or email us as soon as possible. Can't wait to see people come to the full knowledge of Jesus Christ and turn their lives over to the Savior. How better it is to be cleansed from all unrighteousness and from all our sin. Washed clean by the blood of the Lamb and then be presented to the Father as a chosen vessel ready to grow, mature and to be used in whatever ministry aspect he calls us into.
Remember, God loves you so much that He gave His only Son just for you. Live your life today as if Christ were standing right next to you - Of course Christ will stand with us through thick and thin. He will not leave us nor forsake us. He will stick to you closer than a brother.
Thank you for taking the time to keep up with our events. Until next time..Shine your light for Christ!

| The Coble Family enjoyed a wonderful day on Wednesday, July 4th. We enjoyed our time together just relaxing, truck shopping & buying. Then we had the wonderful privelege of singing in Azle at Sonshine Ministries Retreat Center. There were approximately 2000 people on the premises. Due to a no show and a change in the program we had the opportunity to come up for a second set and closed the concert part out. They ended the evening singing, "I pledge allegience to the Lamb" and then a massive amount of fireworks which lit-up the sky for about 20 minutes to an old John Phillips Sousa tune. There were several representatives from various organizations represented there from Promise Keepers to the Azle Ministerial Alliance, etc... plus many churches came together to put this project on. The retreat center held a very high standard making the atmosphere perfect for the family. It was also very well organized. Thumbs up to the staff of Sonshine Ministries and the Azle Ministerial Alliance; This being the 9th Annual "Follow the Flag" program. Also, thank you to all our friends who came out to be with us. It was great seeing everyone (old and new alike) God Bless You all, we can't wait to see you at our upcoming concert.

| It's so nice to live in Texas! The weather can never be predicted. One minute its pretty, nice breeze and the sun is shining; The next minute a storm has blown in from somewhere bringing not only thunder & lightening, but hail and large amounts of rain. When things are set-up outside, it makes for an exciting few minutes trying to get everything covered up and moved inside. This is what happened in Garland on June 29th. We still had a good time though. It was good to see some friends of ours there also.
6/30: Calvary Baptist, Mt. Vernon - We certainly had a good time of singing and fellowship at this church. Now this is what I call a singing. It was so easy to sing and worship the Lord here. Wiley Baptist came over to visit also. Several came to the altars for prayer afterwards. We just had a wonderful time in the Lord.
Sunday 7/1: First Assembly of God, Mt. Pleasant - We certainly had a good time of worship here. Pastor White brought a very timely message Sunday morning and then Sunday night was the concert. Again, we had a wonderful time getting to know the brothers & sisters of this congregation.
Be sure to keep an eye on our happenings page for pictures of our van. We now have the privilege of driving from location to location in comfort.
Also, Lucy now has her own personal kids webpage along with her thought page which is coming soon. (ChristA's is coming along and will be ready to publish soon. The link will be located on www.thecoblefamily.com just click on "The Coble Girls"
God Bless You All......

| We would like to thank Steve Miller for calling us to be apart of his singing at Tabernacle Baptist in Rendon, Texas. What a marvelous time we had. Enjoyed hearing The Southern Joy Quartet for the first time. Soloist, Rocky Williams set the stage for the night as he opened up the concert. What a powerful concert it was. It was a very lively night. We couldn't have asked for a better atmosphere as it was tonight. God definantly receives the glory. His presence was prevalent throughout the whole evening.
We had several friends show up for the night....It's always good to see everyone from time to time.
Remember to Keep your Focus on Jesus. Get into the word and be in prayer. That next soul your life witnesses to could be the difference on where they spend eternity.
We Love you and if you need special prayer, etc...don't hesitate to e-mail us with your request. We have prayer partners who join in with us to pray for specific needs in the body of Christ. Again, thank you for taking the time to read our updates.....Stay tuned, there's sure to be more on the way.

| (Check out our new, official homepage at www.thecoblefamily.com and be sure to sign the guestbook. We would sure appreciate hearing from you.)
Hello again! Sorry it's been a while since I've logged in and let you know how everything is going. We have been having a blast. The dates are coming in quite frequently and we have really enjoyed ministering in so many new places. Not only that, but the people/family of God that we have meet has just been wonderful.
Some friends of ours came to Hope, Arkansas on their 25th wedding anniversary to see us and to visit. Funny thing though, they thought it was my birthday, too. Not only was I surprised, I am not ready to turn another year older just yet. They wanted me to take the present anyway. We certainly enjoyed visiting with them. They also travelled to Wickes, Arkansas for the morning service.
We have had some really good revivals, singings, get togethers, etc....But most importantly, we glorify the Lord for all that He is doing and all the new and old friends that we have acquired.
We are looking forward to the National Quartet Convention this year. This year is our first to ever to attend. We are thrilled with the opportunity to sing on the HeavenSound.com Showcase.
Keep the Faith & Keep your focus on the Lord Jesus Christ. God is my everything! Is He yours? In Christ's Service, Rhonda Coble

| The rare event of snow that occurred while we were in Colorado City, Texas came crashing in on us this December. The kids thought it was a spectacular sight with the snowman and snowwoman that we (Mom did most of the work) made and mmmm mmm mmm - all that snowcream. People here in Texas didn't know what snowcream was or so it seemed around our neck of the woods. (We live in town)
Also, due to the ice Dec. 31, 2000 we were unable to make the trip to Lewisville for the watch-nite service at Lighthouse PC/G. We had no idea the weather had gotten so bad until Paul walked outside and everything was iced over. We were so disappointed. We had been looking forward to this service for quite sometime.
Now, the ice has melted. The bottoms of a few snowmen are still standing (surprisingly, we've had some warm weather the last two days). The roads are clear and everyone seems to be looking to this new year for some tremendous and exciting services.
Setting goals and keeping them is a priority. I don't believe much in resolutions if God doesn't have part in it. We want to be fully dependent upon God in everything we do, even to the smile we give our neighbor.
Let's make God our top priority. Set goals that will ultimately give God and only God the glory. Let's pray earnestly for the lost (and our country) that they will finally submit to the will of the Father and come calling upon Him for salvation. HAPPY NEW YEAR! And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Romans 12:2

| The past few weeks have been very busy. We enjoyed services in Grand Prairie, Texas - Faith Tabernacle; Crandell, Texas - The Lord's House of Prayer; Granbury, Texas - Granbury Opry House; Then to Paris, Texas for three different events. Saturday night we helped set-up for Bethel Temple A/G's Choral Cantata, "The Perfect Tree". Sunday morning we sang at Lakeway Baptist Church and Sunday Night at the First Assembly of God in Paris - Also, this is where we had the privalege of seeing another soul come up for salvation. What a glorious event. We enjoy going to everyone of these places and seeing familiar faces. It's good to be with old friends, and great to make new ones. We had also scheduled to be with Bethel Temple's Choir at River of Life Church of God in Alvarado, Texas, but due to inclement weather it was cancelled. The Lord truly is blessing in all parts of ministries. We are excited to see new ministries coming up and new ideas in spreading the good news of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Thank you for reading our updates, God Bless You

| We are going to call this past Sunday, "Situation Sunday" for a number of reasons. #1. We arrived in Crandall with special instructions on how to enter the premises. Following specific instructions, all was going well UNTIL.....One small set back. I forgot to tell Paul about the security alarm. After reaching the pastor from the cell phone, he gave more instructions on how to silence the alarm. Situation #1 - completed. #2. Upon searching for the light switch in the sanctuary we came across our next obstacle. No electricity. Paul, being an electrician found no power going to the meter - aka blown transformer. So we waited, and waited and waited, etc....Learning from a fireman that TXU would not have it fixed for at least three hours. HELLO - this is where we insert prayer. Instruments+electricity=singing. Instruments - electricity = stranded. Upon learning of this situation the pastor informed us that several generators were on the way. #3. TXU and the generator's were in a race. TXU won - Praise the Lord. The power came back on around 9:40 a.m. - not enough time to set up our equipment. Soooo, fortunately for us the church had very good equipment. But, it's still not like having your own. (Situation #2 & #3 - completed). We had a very good service. The altar time was no doubt Ordained of God. Sunday Night we found ourselves in the big city of "Sulpher Springs"; Martin Springs Baptist Church. We had a wonderful time singing and being Situation Free. A wonderful fellowship followed the service. Just remember, if your Sunday's become a "Situation Sunday" (insert prayer here).
