CRIMSON RIVER is a Southern Gospel Quartet from Weatherford, Texas. The group is composed of the Minister of Music and two Deacons from the North Side Baptist Church in Weatherford and a member of Victory Baptist in Weatherford. Crimson River has been singing together since 1991.

Lead singer, Gary Wood, has served in Southern Baptist churches for over thirty-five (35) years as a minister of music. He has served as Minister of Music at North Side Baptist Church for over nineteen (19) years. There are over 350 people enrolled in the music ministry of North Side. Gary has two solo recordings and has been involved in the recordings of several other Gospel artist. He and his wife, Kaye, have been married for 33 years. They have two sons. Randy is a graduate of Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene and teaches at Peaster Jr. High and is the Head Softball Coach in Peaster, TX. Randy also leads Praise & Worship at Solid Rock Church in White Settlement, Tx. Jared is a 2002 Graduate of Hardin-Simmons University and now serves at Prestonwood Baptist Church as Student praise & Worship Leader.

Mark Woolsey sings the baritone part and has many years experience with Barbershop Quartet singing and loves Southern Gospel music. Mark is a deacon and Choir member. He and his wife, Diana, have been married 32 years and have two daughters, Jessica and Bethany. Mark is employed by The Fort Worth Parks & Community Services as a District Superintendent.

David Brown sings bass for Crimson River. He is a RETIRED Weatherford Fireman. He is a very active member and a Deacon at North Side Baptist, sings in the Sanctuary Choir, and teaches First Grade Sunday School. David loves to sing Gospel music. He has been married to Melody for 34 years. Their daughter, Mende, is a graduate of Texas A&M and married. Their son, Dustin, is a 2002 Graduate of Texas A&M and is married.

Jason Whittington is a fine tenor and plays the piano for the group. Jason comes to the group from Boundless Joy, a California based quartet, who won several state and national quartet competitions. Jason married Marlin Tolin August 5, 2000. He brings a lot of heart and musicianship to this group. Jason did a wonderful job of arranging and mixing on CRQ's project, WHAT A DAY. He is doing a great job on their newest project, GOOD OL' SONGS , which will be released in March. He is a member of Victory Baptist in Weatherford.

CRIMSON RIVER was a regular on the TEXAS OPRY GOSPEL SHOW in Weatherford for several years. They sing for revivals, crusades, opry shows, banquets or any place they are given the opportunity to share the Gospel. They have sung three times at the Will Roger's Auditorium in Fort Worth with some of Gospel Music's best known groups: The Florida Boys, The Dixie Melody Boys, The Hoppers, The Speer Family, Brian Free & Assurance, Perfect Heart, J.D.Sumner & The Stamps Quartet, Greater Vision, Legacy Five, Down East Boys and local groups, SHILOH, HIS LOVE and more. The group was featured at the Arizona Baptist State Evangelism Conference in January, 1997.

CRIMSON RIVER is committed to ministry through Southern Gospel music. They'll sing anytime, anywhere. The guys have six (6) Southern Gospel recordings and a Christmas recording "A Crimson Christmas"(1996). Their recording entitled, WHAT A DAY, features a brand new arrangement of "What A Day That Will Be" and a great rendition of The Gaither Vocal Band's arrangement of "I Do Believe". Other songs on the project are "I Am Longing", "God's Promised Land", "When We Make It To The Other Side", "What A Friend", "The Son Will Rise", "Vessel Of Mercy", "You're Already Gonna Live Forever", and more. Their newest project will be called GOOD OL' SONGS and will feature "The Old Rugged Cross", "It Is Well", Farther Along", "Just Over In the Glory-land", "Send the Light" , "On the Jericho Road", "Sweet By and By", "Hide Me, Rock of Ages" and three more!
