Music has always been a part of the life of Dolores Hunt. She was told that she started singing as soon as she could talk. At the age of nine, Dolores felt the call of God to be saved. Soon after she was saved she knew God's call was upon her to use the talents he had given her. She sang in a trio with her mother and sister in church, and at the age of eleven became the pianist for the church. God was preparing her for her future life as a minister's wife.
God blessed Dolores and her husband, Harmon, with three wonderful children two daughters, Debbi and Kathy, and a son, Scott. God also gave them musical talent. Early in their lives, Dolores taught them to sing, and soon they were singing with their mom everywhere their dad preached. They became known as The Hunt Family, singing in several states across the USA. During those years they recorded two albums.
All too soon, each of those wonderful children grew up, left home and started families of their own. So, still feeling God's call upon her life, Dolores started singing solo once again. God has opened many doors of opportunity which Dolores has walked through. She has sung in many churches and concerts. As a member of the Southern Gospel Music Association (SGMA) she also performs in various concerts with other SGMA members.
Dolores states that whether it's playing the piano for a church service or being used as a soloist, she wants to be a tool in the hand of God to spread the Gospel wherever God wants her to go, bringing the good news of salvation to those who are lost, comfort to those who are hurting, and joy to the children of God.
