Gospel Sounds ...spreading the Word in song.

We would like to introduce you to our group, that was formed in 1998. As you can see, we are a born again Christian family - we enjoy singing and giving praises to our Lord Jesus Christ.
Our desire is to spread the message of Jesus with our music and songs and to let our light shine in our daily walk with God.

Dennis Miles is our bass singer, sound man and driver.

Dennis' grandfather, Henry Miles was a bass singer and song writer and sang with several well known quartets. Dennis' Dad, Edward W. Miles was a minister and his mother, Vola Lee Miles was a Sunday school teacher and sang alto with the family group.

Dennis is the second child in a family of six children. He has been singing in church and active in God's work all of his life. He enjoys working in the church, as well as traveling and singing for Jesus.

Kathryn Miles - Dennis' wife - is the lead singer and takes responsibility for booking the group. She began singing in church at a young age. In 1995, Kathryn joined the Herrin Family and sang with the group for a year. She then formed the Evangel Gospel Singers and they were together for two years.

Gospel Sounds was formed in 1998. The original members were Dennis, Kathryn and granddaughter Ashley. In 1999, Margaret (Dennis' sister) joined the group.

God has blessed Dennis and Kathryn with two daughters and one son. They now have nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Dennis and Kathryn are members of the Faith Temple Church in Cleburne, TX.

Edward Miles is our son. He began singing with us in 2007. He enjoys traveling with the group and singing for Jesus. he is a sound tech and is on the Board of Trustees and Faith Temple Church in Cleburne, TX where he is a member.

Edward is single and has raised two daughters and now has 3 grandsons.

We are members of the Southern Gospel Music Association of Texas, BYKOTA Gospel Music Ministries, and the South Texas Gospel Music Association.
