Sound Clips Darkest Before Dawn |
There is a stir in the gospel music air these days in Texoma over a talented family band from Ada, Oklahoma, THE GASTINEAUS..
Established in 2001, The Gastineaus embraced the call to share the gospel of hope wherever God would lead. This musical family consists of James & Gaye Gastineau and their daughters, Kami and Maci. The Gastineaus' passion and calling are evident from the moment the first note is sung. In conduct, appearance, and sound, you will appreciate the professionalism and anointing this family band brings to the stage. Gaye, having previously traveled 20 years with The Celestials, brings a wealth of experience and depth to her family group. Gaye is a gifted songwriter, singer and accomplished pianist. Her vocals are soulful and her years of experience reveal itself as she anchors the band. A talented vocalist, Kami's sound is pure and her style refreshing. Her smooth bass guitar playing sets a nice foundation for live southern gospel music. Kami is a senior in college, majoring in elementary education. Maci, 13 yrs old, brings an abundance of youthful energy to the group. She plays several instruments but you will hear her on the drums and guitar at a Gastineau concert. With a quick smile and personality to spare, Maci is a favorite among fans. James, a 19-year veteran in law enforcement, is dedicated and committed to the success of his family's calling. With a servant's heart, his love and support is evident as he drives the van, maintains equipment, and sets the sound. After many wonderful years in the Church of God, The Gastineaus recently became members of Blue Baptist Church. Gaye teaches the Youth Choir; she and Maci are active in the church's praise & worship band when the family is not on the road. Kami is a member of Abba's House Worship Center. The Gastineaus are part Mississippi Choctaw Indian. With the 2007 release of their debut CD, LONG ROAD HOME, brand new doors continue to open for The Gastineaus. Their dynamic single, "Worthy To Be Praised," penned by Gaye, is gaining attention for the family. With the combined talents of singing, songwriting and instrumentation, The Gastineaus are poised to make their mark on the hearts of southern gospel fans. With a heart for ministry, The Gastineaus raise the standard, for one cause, for one passion, for one Savior. |
