I began singing early in life with Sunday school and school functions. I remember, my first solo ever was in the 5th grade where I sang "What a Friend We Have in Jesus" while playing the organ. My organ skills have fallen on the wayside, but I still love to sing praises to our Lord.

In 2004, I went through a life changing event. My wonderful husband, Wayne was called to duty in Iraq. I prayed that God would help me through this time. I prayed that He would give me something to occupy my time while my husband was gone. He gave me back the love of song. I began singing with a Praise Team in North Richland Hills at Davis Memorial United Methodist Church. Thanks to Robert Schott and the group there, as they were an inspiration and such great support, while my husband was gone.

Currently, I am a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church of Rendon. I started attending TBC in July of 2005. I met Ed Mathews the Pastor while singing for a fund raiser for my husband's unit. Brother Ed likes to tease me saying we met in a bar, well; we met at an ice cream bar, so it's almost just as sinful. I attended TBC July 31, 2005 on my husbands birthday and have been there every since.

We have Saturday Night in Rendon on the third Saturday of every month, where I have been encouraged and supported in my latest ministry of taking the Gospel of Jesus Christ out into the world. Ephesians 5:18-19 was sent to me in 2004 saying "...be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord." I believe God gave me this desire when He sent this scripture.

I am the lucky wife of Master Sergeant Wayne Walker, the proud mother of Chris (14) and Andrea (11). I also have two beautiful step children Michael who lives in Utah and Stacie who lives in Ohio. It will be my pleasure to meet you as you meet my family.
