Organization schedules are a free service of HeavenSound.com. If you have at least THREE of your artists that are using our concert database service, we will create a page like this one that displays each artist, their next few dates, a link to the full schedule, information about the organization and a link to the organization's web site.

We make this service available to booking agencies, recording companies, promotion companies, artist associations and industry/fan "gathering places", such as message boards.

ORGANIZATION SUMMARY

Oklahoma United Gospel Music Association Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization started to promote gospel concerts in the metro area and use what ever proceeds that were left after expenses to help various local charities. UGMA was incorporated in 1994 with contributions from a group of Yukon Oklahoma business men. Their first concert was on March 3, 1994 with the Lester's from St. Louis, Missouri. The Lester's were very instrumental in helping get the organization started. The advice we received from them was greatly appreciated.

UGMA has promoted a number of outdoor concerts before beginning to promote ticketed programs. Our first program was held in the Yukon High School Fine Arts Auditorium and was called The Legends Of Gospel. That concert had the largest attendance of any program that had ever been held in that facility. The talent for that program included J.D. Sumner and the Stamps Quartet, Hovie Lister and the Statesmen Quartet, James Blackwood and the Blackwood Quartet, Jake Hess and a very popular local group named The McLaughlin Bothers.

The organization has promoted a number of these Legends concerts in various venues. In the years since, UGMA has promoted programs many nationally known artists, including:

• Albert E Brumley Jr. • The Imperials • Southern Charm
• Brian Free & Assurance • Janice Lynn Peavy • Stanley Jones Singers
• Carroll Roberson • Jeff and Sheri Easter • Tim & Mary Alice Lovelace
• Danny Funderburk • The Kingsmen • The Todd Allen Family
• David Patillo • The Lesters • Tony Gore & Majesty
• Dixie Echoes • Mark Bishop • The Weatherfords
• The Florida Boys Quartet • The Needhams
• Gold City • The Pfeifers

It is our purpose to promote gospel music concerts of all types and to provide an opportunity for local talent to gain exposure and to further develop their talent. With the Lord's help and lots of prayer this purpose will be accomplished.
